USD 2.4 Billion-Worth Investment Projects Submitted to Government
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan traveled today to Kotayk Marz of Armenia to discuss problems and development prospects with community leaders and businessmen.
To begin with, the Premier advised that during this week the ministries and government agencies will submit summary investment programs, which will be made public next week.
“The Government Staff has examined USD2.4 billion-worth 471 investment projects, of which 345 are deemed to be feasible in 2017 to a total cost of USD 830-850 million,” the Prime Minister stated, adding that this does not mean at all that all of the proposed programs may be implemented this year, because it depends on how the stakeholders will work in this direction.
“This is just the potential we can see at the moment. We have identified both the funding sources and the developers for the aforementioned 345 projects. Moreover, this is a summary program covering grants, community contributions, private investments, State budget allocations and borrowed funds,” Karen Karapetyan stressed, noting that at this point of time the Government is considering 55 investment programs in addition to what was stated above.
