Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan received the delegation led by Johannes Luchner, Deputy Director-General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission.

The meeting was also attended by Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan and the Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos.

The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the visa liberalization process as a key direction for expanding contacts, mobility, and ties between Armenian citizens and EU member states.

Both sides noted the progress achieved in the implementation of the Visa Liberalization Action Plan.

The interlocutors also addressed the enhancement of the migration management system, including the prevention of irregular migration, the improvement of return and readmission procedures, and efforts in the field of integrated border management.
