Lilit Makunts, Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister, received the delegation led by Kristina Kvien, President and CEO of the "Pacific Council" think tank and former U.S. Ambassador to Armenia.
Lilit Makunts welcomed the visit of the delegation led by Kristina Kvien to Armenia. The Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister spoke about a number of the Armenian Government's priorities, including the diversification of the country's foreign policy, the continuity of democratic reforms, the implementation of the TRIPP project, and steps toward ensuring lasting peace in the region.
For her part, Kristina Kvien expressed gratitude for the reception and provided details regarding the meetings and discussions held in Armenia during the visit.
Subsequently, reference was made to the role of civil society in the development of democracy and the implementation of public reforms in Armenia, the measures taken by the Armenian Government to combat corruption, the introduction of the universal health insurance system, and other topics.
Both sides emphasized the importance of steps aimed at fostering cooperation between the Armenian Government and the think tank in the aforementioned areas.
