Tigran Sargsyan Meets With Dmitry Medvedev

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with RF Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on the sidelines of the meeting of CIS Council of Heads of Government in Ashgabat.

The parties discussed a broad range of issues concerning the Armenian-Russian strategic cooperation.

RF Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev: “Dear Tigran Sureni, dear colleagues, it is a pleasure to talk about bilateral relations within the framework of the ongoing meeting of Heads of Government in Ashgabat. We are abiding by a traditional agenda as we can discuss any issue relating to humanitarian and economic ties between Russia and Armenia. I am pleased for the opportunity to meet and discuss these issues.”

Republic of Armenia Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan: “Dmitri Anatolevich, dear colleagues, thank you for the opportunity to discuss a few questions of mutual concern. We attach special importance to our relationship with Russia. The Russian Federation is our strategic partner, including the economic component. Russia is the largest investor in Armenia’s economy with a share of 60%. Of course, we are interested in the strengthening of bilateral relations and I hope today’s agenda will promote this effort.”
