Meeting Between Armenian-Russian Economic Cooperation Intergovernmental Commission Co-Chairs
Armenian-Russian economic cooperation intergovernmental commission Armenia co-chairman, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with Armenian-Russian economic cooperation intergovernmental commission Russia co-chairman, RF Minister of Transport Maxim Sokolov.
Welcoming the guest and appreciating the joint work done so far, the Prime Minister emphasized, “Serious work has been carried out since our latest meeting, which is paying off. Various topical issues have been discussed, including economic diversification, identification of new areas of cooperation, and it can be stated that the Armenian-Russian relations are developing dynamically.”
The Russian Transport Minister said that meetings like this ahead of commission sessions provide a good opportunity to review what has been done and discuss future activities. He thanked the Prime Minister and his Armenian colleagues for understanding and cooperation.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues concerning the development of bilateral trade and economic exchanges. Reference was made to the agenda of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission’s upcoming meeting. An agreement was reached that the Commission’s next meeting would be held this fall in St. Petersburg.
The meeting was followed by a summary protocol signing ceremony. The protocol was signed by Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission Armenia co-chair, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan on behalf of the Republic of Armenia, and Armenian-Russian economic cooperation intergovernmental commission Russia co-chair, RF Minister of Transport Maxim Sokolov on behalf of the Russian Federation.
