First Lot Of Belarusian Tractors Reach Armenia
Pursuant to an agreement reached between the presidents of Armenia and Belarus, on the sidelines of Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan’s May 31, 2013 visit to the Republic of Belarus, Tigran Sargsyan and his Belarus counterpart Mikhail Myasnikovich made arrangements that the Belarusian side would provide Armenia with around 300 tractors at cost-price.
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited today Nurnus community of Kotayk Marz of Armenia to see firsthand the first lot of “Belarus” brand tractors as imported by the National Center for SME Development (NCSMED).
Accompanied by Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan, the Prime Minister toured the tractor depot getting familiar with the technical characteristics of the newly imported machines. The head of government himself test drove one of them.
Attended by the Prime Minister, the first purchase contract was signed between NCSMED Director Varazdat Karapetyan and resident of Azatan community of Shirak Marz Khosrov Baghdasaryan. The first buyer gave preference to the vehicle tested by the Prime Minister and expressed gratitude for the affordable terms granted under the contract.
Available directly from the manufacturer, these 2013-make cutting-edge МТЗ-82.1 tractors are offered at a cost 30 percent lower than the market price in cash (AMD6.700.000) and with a leasing option. The lease is ensured by SME Investment UCO under the following terms: 20% down payment, 9% annual interest rate, including risk insurance, 6-year maturity for tractors and 3 years for related equipment.
