Prime Minister Attends Opening of Armenia EXPO 2014
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan attended the opening of Armenia EXPO - 2014 at the Yerevan Expo exhibition hall.
Welcoming the guests on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and himself, the Premier stated in part, “I view events like this as the best platform for striking new business ties and presenting our country on the international marketplace. I especially hail the contribution made to the process of shaping a sound competitive field. Having a unique place of its own within the family of international exhibitions, Armenia Expo has achieved high productivity in terms of boosting cooperation between the participants.”
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of holding parallel discussions that can provide a unique opportunity for local and foreign participants to find new ways and schemes of cooperation. Hovik Abrahamyan expressed the hope that the agreements reached during the event will turn into long-term and mutually beneficial business ties.
“Our future success is directly related to the activation of the economy and I am confident that this type of initiatives may be conducive to good results in this respect. Expositions can also promote business linkages," the head of government noted addressing media representatives.
The Prime Minister toured the stands observing the products, technologies and innovation systems on display at the exposition.
Armenia EXPO – 2014 is attended by some 70 domestic and foreign companies from Georgia, Russia, Iran, Turkey, Poland, etc.
