Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan and US Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy discuss a wide range of issues related to deepening cooperation

On January 31, Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan received the delegation led by the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Lynne Tracy.

The Deputy Prime Minister congratulated the Armenian and American peoples on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, emphasizing that the United States has been a stable partner for Armenia since its independence in 1991.
Hambardzum Matevosyan praised the support provided to Armenia over the past 30 years aimed at the strengthening of a more prosperous, democratic society, in particular, aimed at the fight against corruption, as well as the implementation of judicial and police reforms.

The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the role and mission of the United States as a Co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group in the final and comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Ambassador Tracy agreed with the Deputy Prime Minister that the issue of the status of Nagorno Karabakh has not been resolved so far and that this process should be carried out under the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to contribute to the strengthening of Armenia-US working relations and the development of bilateral ties.
