Deputy Prime Minister Matevosyan instructs to improve the standards for public beaches
On March 4, a consultation chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan and with the participation of heads and representatives of relevant state bodies on the project of public beaches and Sevan-Lchashen alley took place.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, by a number of decisions the Government has created eight public beaches, in order to provide recreation accessible to all segments of the society, but at present only three of them are furnished and put into operation.
The maintenance of these three beaches was delegated to a private company, which carried out improvement and furnishing works․ It is planned to build an alley, a new parking lot, to install new pavilions and canopies, as well as to properly organize garbage collection works.
Noting that there is public interest in public beaches, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed the competent authorities to sum up the existing discontent, correct the problems raised by the citizens in a short time, as well as take steps to make the public beach really accessible to everyone.
In order to increase the accessibility of public beaches, the issue of launching the other five beaches, as well as building 4 new public beaches in Lchap, Shorzha, Noratus and Martuni communities, and improving the standards for all public beaches were discussed during the consultation. The zoning project of the Lchashen-Sevan peninsula section of Sevan National Park, the problems related to its implementation and the solutions were presented.
