An unprecedented number of applications were received within the framework of subsidy programs in 2022 - Deputy Prime Minister Matevosyan meets with governors
A consultation chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan took place today with the participation of the governors of Armenia.
During the meeting, reference was made to the subsidy programs aimed at the development of economic and social infrastructure of the communities of the Republic of Armenia, the implementation process of the Government's program on the construction or renovation of 300 schools and 500 kindergartens, the results of budget revenue collection of communities for 2020 and 2021 were presented, as well as a number of issues related to spring preparations, including irrigation issues were discussed.
The Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan informed that an unprecedented number of applications were received within the framework of 2022 subsidy programs - 461 applications of 79.5 billion AMD (due to the process of community enlargement, a number of similar settlement programs are summarized in one application)․ The amount of the Government co-financing is 43.5 billion AMD. The programs are mainly aimed at asphalting the streets of the settlements, construction / renovation of kindergartens, construction of drinking and irrigation water systems, etc.
Presenting the results of the last two years of collecting the budget revenues of the communities, it was reported that in 2021 all the regions of Armenia collected by 5.5 billion AMD more than in 2020.
The Deputy Prime Minister instructed the governors to keep the revenue collection process in the center of attention, to be consistent not only with the subsidy programs, but also with the programs implemented by the Government in the regions in general and the result-oriented commitments.
A number of other issues were discussed during the meeting.
