The tender package for the construction of the M1 Yerevan-Gyumri-Bavra road section of North-South project has been approved



Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan, the regular session of the Managing Board of North-South Road Corridor, M6 Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgian Border Interstate Road Rehabilitation (Section Km 38+450 – Km 90+191), Improvement and Sustainable Urban Development Investment and Northern Corridor Modernization Programs took place today.

During the session, the tender package for the construction of the M1 Yerevan-Gyumri-Bavra Km 37 + 545 to km 71 + 435 / about 34 km / road section within the framework of the North-South Road Corridor Investment Program Tranche 2 was approved.

It should be reminded that a loan agreement was signed between the Republic of Armenia and the Asian Development Bank to provide an investment loan to finance the North-South Road Corridor investment program (Tranche 2).

Within the framework of the program, during 2021-2023, it is planned to implement the construction of Km 29 + 600 to km 37 + 545 / about 8 km / of the M1 Yerevan-Gyumri-Bavra road, near the Agarak community, and Km 37 + 545 to km 71+ 435 / about 34 km / of the M1 Yerevan-Gyumri-Bavra road. Other issues on the agenda were discussed during the sitting of the Managing Board.
