Urban development program launched in the district adjacent to the Tichina Street in Yerevan and North-South Highway presented to Deputy PM Matevosyan
Today, Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan visited the construction site, got acquainted on the spot with urban development program launched in the district adjacent to the Tichina Street in Yerevan and North-South Highway.
It should be noted that a 129-hectare land plot has been allocated for the construction of residential and public building complexes, as well as a forest park, which is planned to be built in five stages.
During the working visit, Deputy Prime Minister Matevosyan got acquainted with the local construction peculiarities, the plan, observed the started construction works, after which held a consultation. During the consultation, Chairman of the Urban Development Committee Armen Ghularyan and General Director of Defence Housing Invest CJSC Karen Karapetyan presented the details of the five-stage program to the Deputy Prime Minister, noting that in the end there will be residential micro-districts with 63 residential buildings and a forest park. There will be children's pre-school institutions, public schools in the micro-districts, a large shopping center and a sports and health complex will be built, as well as an administrative-public center, where there will be business centers, hotels, multifunctional institutions. A hospital is also planned to be built in the area.
According to the representative of the constructing company, the investments made during these stages will make about 3 billion USD, and the construction of residential micro-districts will be completed by 2027.
