Statement by RA prime minister Andranik Margaryan at International ArmAgroForum conference

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Dear Participants,
I am glad the already traditional International ArmAgroForum conference is held on the days of Armenia's independence 15th anniversary celebrations, in parallel to other key events such as the Armenia-Diaspora conference and the exposition of Armenian products, due to be inaugurated at this very venue in a few hours.
Following the declaration of independence, desirous of building a sovereign, democratic, socially-oriented and rule-of-law State, Armenia embraced a policy-line aimed at the furtherance of market relationship and initiated liberalization-targeted economic reforms. Today, 15 years later, we can assert with confidence that our country has left behind it the period of stagnation inherent in the first stage of drastic transformations and is now experiencing a two-digit growth.
Nevertheless, the provision of a strong groundwork for long-term economic development and the deepening of international cooperation are still high on Armenia
