The Babajanyan-Ashtarak road section will be put into operation at the end of this year. The Managing Board of the North-South Road Corridor and Urban Sustainable Development Investment Program held a meeting





Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan, the Managing Board of the North-South Road Corridor, restoration and improvement of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgia border interstate road, Sustainable Urban Development Investment and Northern Corridor Modernization programs held a meeting. The meeting was attended by Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan, Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan, Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan, as well as other representatives of concerned state bodies.

It should be reminded that within the framework of the Urban Sustainable Development Investment Program, the Argavand-Shirak road section has already been put into operation this year, and the Babajanyan-Ashtarak road section is planned to be put into operation by the end of 2022.

In order to smoothly complete the project, a number of issues related to the implementation of current works aimed at expropriation of some land areas and other issues were discussed at the session.
