Garik Israelian, co-founder of the "STARMUS" festival, emphasized that very few people know that the first rover in history that people made was the Lunar rover, which was developed by Alexander Kemurdzhian. He reminded that "Time" magazine called "Lunokhod" a revolution in the field of world science and technology.
Vladimir Kemurdzhian noted that his father always encouraged young people, believing that without them it is impossible to create and develop equipment. Vladimir Kemurdzhian donated multi-content books to the school, and Scott Roberts, a scientist from the USA, a telescope.
In 1963-1973, the group of engineers led by Alexander Kemurdzhian worked on the design and creation of automatically controlled chassis of Lunar rovers and small Mars rovers. As a result, the group led by the talented engineer creates the world's first robotic Lunar rover and the Mars rover. Thanks to this new space technology, it becomes possible to obtain data about the soils of the Moon and Venus.
