The tender for construction works of the Agarak-Kajaran road section will be announced in the near future. Deputy Prime Minister Matevosyan gives a number of instructions
On September 28, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan, the regular session of the Managing Board of the North-South Road Corridor, restoration and improvement of the, M6, Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgia border interstate road, Sustainable Urban Development Investment and Northern Corridor Modernization programs was held.
The Council discussed the implementation of the North-South Road Corridor Investment Project Tranche-4, the reconstruction project of the Agarak-Kajaran road section of about 32 km and approved the tender documents for the construction works, based on which the tender for the construction works of the Agarak-Kajaran road section will be announced in the near future.
The Managing Board also approved the results of the tender for construction works of the M-1, Yerevan-Gyumri-Bavra road, about 8 km section, carried out within the framework of the North-South road corridor Tranche-2, instructing the "Road Department" Fund to sign a contract with the contractor organization that won the tender.
Deputy Prime Minister Matevosyan noted that the implementation of the North-South infrastructure project has gained even greater importance and strategic importance in terms of the modernization and development of Armenia's road network, especially in the light of the existing challenges. Therefore, he instructed to make all efforts to ensure the smooth and effective implementation of the project. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the Managing Board of the project continues to keep the important issues related to the project under its attention and coordination and suggested all the concerned departments to provide sufficient support and flexibility in solving the problems related to the project.
During the session of the Managing Board, other issues on the agenda were also discussed, on which the Deputy Prime Minister gave a number of instructions.
