Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, participated in the session of the Management Board of the Urban Planning, Technical and Fire Safety Inspectorate on November 29. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Board, Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Pambukhchyan.

Welcoming the participants of the session, Arayik Harutyunyan noted that the issue of increasing the quality and efficiency of the work of inspectorates is a priority for the Prime Minister's Office. He emphasized the need to make legislative changes in the laws and sub-legislative acts regulating the activity of inspectorates, stressing that all concerned departments should be involved in it. Moreover, the aforementioned legislative changes should be made as soon as possible, which will make it possible to strengthen the mechanisms for carrying out supervision functions.

The chief of Staff of the Prime Minister attached particular importance to raising the level of awareness of businessmen, local self-government bodies, as well as citizens operating in the fields under the responsibility of the inspectorates.
