The session of the committee monitoring the progress of the agreements reached at the 17th session of the Armenian-Iranian Inter-Governmental Joint Commission was held
Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and Deputy President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Masoud Mirkazemi, the session of the committee monitoring the progress of the agreements reached at the 17th session of the Armenian-Iranian Inter-Governmental Joint Commission was held in Tehran on January 31.
Within the framework of the meeting, the prospects for the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries, as well as the possibilities of expanding existing cooperation in the field of energy and transport were discussed. The sides exchanged thoughts on the creation of favorable conditions for the development and expansion of trade and economic relations, including within the EAEU framework.
Prior to the session, a working meeting was held between Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Deputy President of Iran Seyyed Masoud Mirkazemi.
Within the commission's work, separate thematic discussions were held with the participation of the Deputy Ministers of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Economy, Environment of the Republic of Armenia, aimed at raising the existing problems in the mutually beneficial directions of Armenian-Iranian cooperation and implementing joint measures to solve them.
At the end of the session of the committee monitoring the progress of the agreements reached at the 17th session of the Armenian-Iranian Inter-Governmental Joint Commission, the Deputy Prime Minister, noting that Iran is a friendly country and an important partner for Armenia, thanked the Iranian side for the warm welcome and emphasized the importance of conducting regular discussions in this format. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan invited the Deputy President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Masoud Mirkazemi to Yerevan to hold the next session in that format.
The sides noted that the solutions of the recorded problems will always be in the center of attention of the governments of the two countries.
