Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan discusses cooperation issues with WB partners
Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan had a working discussion with the representatives of the World Bank (WB) Group today. The Bank's delegation was headed by World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus Sebastian Molineus and WB Country Manager for Armenia Carolin Geginat.
Welcoming the guests, Deputy Prime Minister Khachatryan highly appreciated the effective cooperation with the World Bank and reaffirmed the Government's readiness to strengthen cooperation and expand the scope of cooperation.
The regional director of the World Bank emphasized that the Bank will continue to support the Armenian Government in the implementation of reforms to reach the highest level of partnership.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues related to the course and perspectives of the Armenian Government - World Bank cooperation. In particular, the priorities and current programs of the World Bank's strategy with the Republic of Armenia aimed at improving the public sector and public finance management, introducing a comprehensive healthcare insurance system, and developing the energy and infrastructure sectors were discussed.
