Tigran Khachatryan received WB Regional Director for Sustainable Development at the Europe and Central Asia Region
Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan had a working discussion with representatives of the World Bank (WB) Group today. The bank's delegation was headed by Sameh Wahba, Regional Director for Sustainable Development at the Europe and Central Asia Region. Carolin Geginat, the Country Manager of the World Bank for Armenia, and other representatives of WB were also present.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the progress and perspectives of cooperation between the Armenian government and the World Bank aimed at sustainable development. In particular, reference was made to the current programs and initiatives of the World Bank with the Republic of Armenia in the areas of tourism infrastructure and local economy development, promotion of green and sustainable economy, solid waste management and a number of other directions.
