Regular session of the 100th Birthday Anniversary Commission of Charles Aznavour took place
Chaired by Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of the Prime Minister's Staff, Chairman of the 100th Birthday Anniversary Commission of Charles Aznavour, the regular session of the commission took place today at the Government.
The course of preparations for the jubilee events dedicated to the 100th birthday of the world-famous chansonnier, as well as the presented suggestions, were discussed. During the session, participants exchanged ideas on the formats of the events, schedule and other organizational issues.
The list of jubilee events to be carried out by Aznavour Foundation was also presented at the commission session. As noted by Charles Aznavour's son, Nicolas Aznavour, co-founder of the Aznavour Foundation, it was developed as a result of close cooperation with the governments of Armenia and France, various cultural organizations, public structures, as well as other family members. It was noted that the jubilee events will take place in 2024 and it will be possible to feel the breath of Aznavour's art throughout the year.
Within the framework of the program, a number of events are planned in the capital and regions, namely: poster printing, concerts, theater performances, postage stamp redemption, book printing, film screenings, recordings, photo exhibition, etc. It was also mentioned that the Armenian government's support is expected in holding the events at a high level.
Arayik Harutyunyan gave instructions to those in charge regarding the upcoming actions and emphasized the importance of organizing Charles Aznavour's jubilee year smoothly, evenly and at a proper level. In that context, the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister also emphasized the consistent, effective, coordinated work of the concerned departments and structures.
