Arayik Harutyunyan participates in the ceremony of awarding master's degrees to the graduates of the Public Administration Academy
Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, Chairman of the Board of the Academy of Public Administration, participated in the official ceremony of awarding master's diplomas to the graduates of the Academy.
The event was also attended by representatives of the executive body, members of the Board of the Academy of State Administration, members of the academic council, rector of the Academy Khachatur Ghazeyan, academic staff, graduates, students.
The Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister presented master diplomas to those who graduated with honors.
Arayik Harutyunyan made a speech, congratulated the graduates and wished them success. "The Public Administration Academy has played an important role in our administration system for years. I hope that the recent changes in the past two years, when the already former students were receiving education, have had a positive effect on their educational content.
Providing good management skills and well skilled professionals are the backbone of the state. But, unfortunately, the management experience of recent years shows that we have a great lack of it, we have a great lack of good professionals. In the past, present and future, the Academy of Public Administration has played, has, and I hope will play an important role in filling that gap.
My colleagues from the Executive will attest that we often have the problem of replacing a bad specialist with a good one. We dismiss the bad one, but we don't find the good one. This is one of the problems of our public administration in general. In fact, we have been too late in public administration reforms, and I hope that the efforts made by the Government in recent months will be successful. I want to inform you that the two deputy prime ministers and the Chief of the Prime Minister's Staff have taken responsibility for these reforms in separate directions, so that the reform will proceed quickly. I'm sure we'll see the results of that in the coming months. And in terms of implementing those reforms, your participation will be very important.
Therefore, I want you to pay close attention to the competitions that we announce, do not listen to anyone who will say from the side that the fate of this competition is predetermined, they already know who will be employed here. Especially in the staff, we really want good professionals to come. I must tell you that in our current competitions, when people see that good professionals find their place in the staff, we have about 20 participants in each competition.
I want to once again congratulate you, all of us, on today's occasion for the Public Administration Academy, wish our graduates good luck and be sure that they will have a great contribution to the accomplishment of our state, the state system", the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister said.
