13 emergency aid teams leave for Stepanakert to help and transport people with locomotor problems and bedridden patients
Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan and the Press Secretary of the Prime Minister Nazeli Baghdasaryan presented from the "Humanitarian Center" of the Government of Armenia the current data and the processes being implemented by the Government of the Republic of Armenia in connection with the transfer and support of forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno Karabakh.
According to the data presented by Nazeli Baghadasaryan, 100,417 people have been forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, 21,043 vehicles have crossed the Hakari bridge, the number of registered persons is 81,139. As of yesterday 10:00 am, 20,306 people used the shelters offered by the state, as of now, that number is 32,200. The distribution according to regions is as follows: Aragatsotn region 1852, Ararat region: 7640, Armavir region: 3009, Gegharkunik region: 2862, Lori region: 1581, Kotayk region: 8289, Shirak region: 1317, Syunik region: 2244, Vayots Dzor region: 1700, Tavush region: 1706.
The Press Secretary once again urged all displaced persons to register at all 64 enlarged community centers and Unified Social Service Centers operating 24/7 in order to be able to benefit from social assistance programs. The necessary contact information and addresses are posted on the irazekum.am website.
The Government of the Republic of Armenia has sent e-mails containing notification systems to persons forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, which are necessary for using various social programs.
During the last two days, 2,900 people were transported from Nagorno Karabakh to Armenia by 90 buses to the centers of Goris or Vayk. Nazeli Baghdasaryan informed that there are 15 people in Nagorno-Karabakh who have mobility problems or are bedridden patients. The press secretary informed that the ambulances have already left to transport them.
Continuing, the Minister of Health noted that at this moment 13 emergency aid brigades have already left for Stepanakert in order to help and transport persons with locomotor problems and bedridden patients. As of now, 221 of the 361 medical patients are those injured by the explosion, 114 are injured as a result of military aggression, and the remaining 26 are medical patients with other health problems. 14 deaths were reported during transportation and medical facilities. The condition of many patients remains extremely serious, and specialists from both Armenia and abroad are involved in order to improve their health condition. There are 10 children in intensive care units, including those injured in the explosion and those injured in combat operations. The condition of two of them is extremely serious, the others are stable, 1 child already has positive dynamics. As a result of the accidents caused by the congestion of the roads, 2 children were injured, who were taken to the hospital and are receiving appropriate medical care. Anahit Avanesyan added that people displaced from Nagorno Karabakh will have access to the full volume of the state order. According to the Minister of Health, by contacting the hotline posted on the website of the Ministry, the displaced persons can also go through the process of professional education, as well as get a job.
20 thousand 600 people have registered on the website e-soc.am of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs designed for the assessment of primary needs. More than 1000 volunteers are involved in the processes. The social support services map is also inventorying resources, and so far 230 organizations have filled out the application.
