Details presented regarding the one-time support of 100,000 AMD provided by the Armenian government to forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno Karabakh

Prime Minister's Press Secretary Nazeli Baghdasaryan and Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Hovhannes Khachatryan presented from the Government's "Humanitarian Center" the details of the one-time support of 100,000 AMD by the Government to the forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno Karabakh.

First, Nazeli Baghdasaryan noted that the number of displaced persons is 100,500, the number of vehicles that crossed Hakari bridge is 21,107. These numbers have remained the same since the last update. The number of registered persons has increased to 91,031. 59,059 of the forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh benefited from some type of support provided by the state: housing, food, hygiene products, medicine, etc.

According to Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Hovhannes Khachatryan, 75 percent of adults forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh have cards that will be identified in a centralized way. The work will be organized in such a way that the sum will be transferred to card accounts with active card activity during the last 15 months (regardless of the physical availability of the cards), which will be the most convenient method for the given person. Even if the card is valid but lost, the person can approach the bank and take the amount in cash or write an application and reissue the card.

As for those citizens who do not have cards, they can get cards free of charge from Armenian banks.

In case of missing or lost documents, banks will extract public service numbers from the centralized database based on the passport data and thereby issue cards. Once the cards are issued, the person does not have to submit the card to the Government, again the data of the newly issued cards will be submitted to the Government in a centralized manner and transfers will be made. Cards usually take 2-3 business days to be issued. A person can apply to all banks in Armenia, except "Mellat" bank and "Fast" bank, because at the moment these banks do not provide card services.
