4145 forcibly displaced children from Nagorno Karabakh are already attending school

Prime Minister's Press Secretary Nazeli Baghdasaryan presented from the Government's "Humanitarian Center" details of the Government's support programs for the provision of housing, food, employment, and education for people forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh.

"We will present to you the processes that have been carried out in different directions according to the data of this moment aimed at solving the humanitarian problems of the people forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh: health, education and other areas," said the press secretary of the Prime Minister.

Nazeli Baghdasaryan informed that according to the latest data, the number of forcibly displaced people from Nagorno Karabakh remains unchanged: 100,625. There is a change in the registered ones, and it currently stands at 95,711, meaning more than 95 percent of the forcibly displaced have been registered. About 29,000 of the registered persons are children. Two important processes are implemented for children: attanding schools and provision of one-time support of AMD 100,000.

The press secretary of the Prime Minister informed that yesterday evening the Government approved the decision and procedure of providing 100,000 AMD one-time support in a written procedure. In all families with minor children, there is a need to access the platform of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, where the child's mother or guardian must fill in the details of the child's birth certificate, so that the data is linked to the mother's or guardian's data and the money is transferred to the mother's or guardian's account.

All persons who have first or second degree disabilities or are in the age group above 75 can receive the amount through Haypost.

Once again presenting the process of receiving the one-time support of 100,000 AMD, the press secretary noted that those who have bank cards will receive this amount in the next few days, and those who do not have bank cards should approach any nearby bank (except Mellat and Fast banks) and open a bank card account, after which they will receive the amount. Opening a bank card account and issuing a card will be free of charge. After opening a bank card account, there is no need to submit it to the Unified Social Service, it is enough just to approach the bank and open a card account.

According to the data provided by the Ministry of Health, at the moment, 345 patients are receiving medical care in various medical institutions of Armenia, 102 of them are in serious condition, 37 are in critical condition, and 9 children are in the intensive care unit. Persons with special care needs, as well as adults, are also in the center of attention of the state.

According to the data provided by the Migration and Citizenship Service, the number of children aged 0-5 is 7,996, the number of children aged 6-19 is 21,266.
