31 babies born in the families of forcibly displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh
Karlen Mkrtchyan, head of Artashat enlarged community, and Nazeli Baghdasaryan, press secretary of the Prime Minister, presented the work progress of the "Humanitarian Center".
Nazeli Baghdasaryan noted that the process of assessing the needs of our compatriots forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh is going on. all the necessary items - hot food, medicine, hygiene and other supplies - are provided on daily basis. The process of transferring a lump sum of 100,000 AMD started the day before yesterday, 50 percent of which has already been implemented. It will continue from Monday. "I want to start this hour's news with positive news: babies were born in the families of forcibly displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh. Thus, 31 births were registered in Armenia, of which 11 were in Yerevan, 20 were in regions. Accordingly, 1 in Gegharkunik, 2 in Shirak, 3 in Ararat, 1 in Lori, 4 in Kotayk, 3 in Armavir, 1 in Tavush and 5 in Syunik," Nazeli Baghdasaryan said, adding that another birth is expected in the Artashat community in the near future. The Prime Minister's press secretary also noted that Ararat and Kotayk regions hosted the largest number of our compatriots forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
Karlen Mkrtchyan noted that 19,054 forcibly displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh are located in Ararat region. According to the head of the community, large-scale works are being carried out to ensure the proper living conditions of our compatriots. The municipality works in an emergency mode, various working groups have been formed, round-the-clock duty has been set in the registration center. "No citizen encountered a problem over overnight stay. As of today, 1,241 forcibly displaced families or 5,199 people are located in Artashat community, 519 families (2060 persons) were settled in Artashat city, 722 families (3139 persons) in rural settlements, 114 families (472 persons) in temporary residences and guest houses. 652 families (2749 people) live on rent. 475 families (1978 people) live free of charge or with relatives," said Karlen Mkrtchyan.
Based on the needs assessment in the community, all the necessary items are provided, in particular: medicine was provided to 500 people, hot daily food to 300 people. "We have re-profiled a part of the sports school in Artashat city as a temporary residence. At the moment, 120 people are stationed there, we provide them with 3 hot meals and hygiene items. NGOs and community residents help us in this matter. One birth was registered in the Artashat community: little Luse was born," said the head of the community.
He informed that health issues of our compatriots are also in the center of attention, daily visits of specialists to densely populated settlements are also organized.
Nazeli Baghdasaryan noted that at the moment more than 13 thousand people have already registered in primary medical care institutions.
The press secretary of the Prime Minister once again reminded that in order to provide one-time support of AMD 100,000 to minor children, it is necessary for the parent to enter the online application system of the Unified Social Service www.dimum.ssa.am, fill in the data and attach the child's birth certificate. If this action is not performed by the parent, but by the legal representative or guardian, it is necessary to download that document as well. "Uploaded data is processed, after which you will receive a confirmation or rejection email to your email address. Reasons for rejection are listed on the website. In case of problems, you can apply to the Unified Social Service, where they will not only clarify, but also guide you in the right way with the filling procedure," she said.
Nazeli Baghdasaryan also reminded that the Ministry of Finance has opened a treasury account for donations in any currency by those living in Armenia and abroad. The treasury account number is 900005002762.
