The government is developing long-term employment programs for those forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh




Tigran Khachatryan, the Deputy Prime Minister, coordinator of the "Humanitarian Center" activities, and Nazeli Baghdasaryan, press secretary of the Prime Minister, presented the progress of the activities of the "Humanitarian Center".

As Nazeli Baghdasaryan noted, according to the data presented by the Ministry of Health, 293 people are receiving inpatient treatment, of which the condition of 106 remains serious, 11 - extremely serious. The press secretary also informed that as a result of the discussion between Armenian doctors and doctors from Italy, 5 patients will continue further treatment in Italy. 4 patients have been transferred to France, 3 to Bulgaria.

14 percent of forcibly displaced people who arrived in Armenia from Nagorno Karabakh have already been registered at primary healthcare facilities. Nazeli Baghdasaryan said that we have more than 13 thousand 999 patients in polyclinics and outpatient clinics who continue their treatments. The Ministry of Health also received 915 calls to the Hotline providing some advice.

The Prime Minister's press secretary also noted that almost 40 percent of the children transferred from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia already attend Armenian schools. According to her, parallel to these processes, the state continues to be consistent with every person forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. in all communities and regions they are provided with hot food, hygiene items, medicines.

Tigran Khachatryan reminded that the beneficiaries of the one-time support program of 100,000 AMD are all our forcibly displaced compatriots and more than 50,000 beneficiaries who had cards have already received this one-time monetary support. In order to provide one-time support to minor children, it is necessary for the parent or guardian to enter the online application system of the Unified Social Service at www.dimum.ssa.am and fill in the child's data.

The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that the accommodation cost compensation program was discussed and developed together with all the concerned departments, which will probably be submitted to the Government for approval next week. Accordingly, it is planned to provide 40,000 AMD for apartment rent and 10,000 AMD for utility costs to each forcibly displaced person. The main beneficiaries of the program will be those people who do not have an apartment or residential house in Armenia. Efforts are also being made to collect statistical data of existing residential houses for rent, which will enable our compatriots to choose a place of residence that will be convenient in terms of organizing their employment correctly.

Tigran Khachatryan also informed that already 300 students applied to relevant universities to continue their higher education. In the coming week, it is planned to approve the procedure by which support will be provided to those students.

Long-term employment programs are also being developed to allow people to choose employment according to their profession and preferences. There are vacancies in the fields of education, healthcare, many private sector organizations have expressed their willingness and have already offered jobs to people with appropriate professional training.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that in the coming weeks, a large volume of work will be carried out to find out the long-term considerations of our displaced compatriots, as well as to understand the issues related to the choice of places of residence.

Nazeli Baghdasaryan said that during the mapping of social support services of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, various organizations offer parallel courses. as a result of new specializations, re-profiling, job seekers will have the opportunity to find their place in the labor market.

The Prime Minister's press secretary also reminded that the Ministry of Finance has opened a treasury account for donations in any currency by those living in Armenia and abroad. The treasury account number is 900005002762.
