Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan receives the Director of the UNHCR Regional Bureau for Europe
Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan received the delegation headed by Philippe Leclerc, the Director of the UNHCR Regional Bureau for Europe
Welcoming the guests, Deputy Prime Minister Khachatryan presented in detail the works being carried out to meet the primary needs of more than 100,000 Armenians forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, emphasizing the importance of cooperation with partner structures within the framework of the response toolkit.
In this context, Philippe Leclerc reaffirmed the readiness of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to support the organization of the humanitarian response with various specialized structures and development partners in order to ensure the efficient interaction with the Government.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of mid-term and long-term programs aimed at ensuring stable living conditions for forcibly displaced persons along with addressing primary needs.
