With the participation of international humanitarian and development partner structures, the second discussion aimed at coordinating the work of addressing the needs of people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh was held




Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan and with the participation of representatives of international humanitarian and development partner structures, the second discussion aimed at coordinating the work of addressing the needs of people forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh took place today.

Welcoming the attendees, the Deputy Prime Minister presented details on the urgent measures implemented by the Government to respond to the primary needs of people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, emphasizing the importance of cooperation with partner institutions within the framework of the response toolkit.

Kavita Belani, the UNHCR Representative in Armenia, gave a speech of welcome, referring in detail to the current indicators of the Refugee Response Program.

Deputy Prime Minister Khachatryan highlighted the work carried out by international humanitarian and development organizations in addressing the needs of people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, stressing the importance of continuous interaction in the medium and long term. In particular, the attendees exchanged thoughts on the current work and possible directions of cooperation in addressing the employment and housing needs of our forcibly displaced compatriots.

Expressing gratitude for the fruitful discussion, the Deputy Prime Minister appreciated the willingness of specialized structures and development partners to continue close cooperation with the Government in addressing the mid-term and long-term needs of forcibly displaced persons.
