Deputy PM Tigran Khachatryan receives the members of the joint delegation of the European External Action Service and the Directorate General of the European Commission for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations




Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan today received the members of the joint delegation of the European External Action Service and the Directorate General of the European Commission for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations. The Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, was also present at the meeting.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the visit of the delegation in the conditions of current challenges, and then presented detailed information to the participants of the meeting about the measures implemented by the Government in order to address the primary needs of people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the support of the European Union in overcoming the consequences of the created situation.

During the meeting, reference was made to the implementation of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement and the ongoing cooperation in a number of directions under the EU Economic and Investment Plan, as well as the opportunities for the development of Armenia-EU trade and economic relations.

At the end of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Khachatryan reaffirmed the Government's readiness to expand cooperation with the EU, filling the bilateral agenda with new directions that are essential for sustainable economic development, increasing resilience and diversifying the economy.
