The Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister participates in the session of the Organizing Council of the International Francophonie Games Committee

The delegation led by Arayik Harutyunyan, the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister of Armenia, is in Paris to submit Armenia's application to host the Francophonie Games.

The delegation took part in the session of the Organizing Council of the International Francophonie Games Committee at the headquarters of the International Organization of Francophonie, during which the application submitted by Armenia to host the Games of Francophonie was discussed. The Armenian delegation also includes Deputy Ministers of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Karen Giloyan and Daniel Danielyan, as well as Ambassador of Armenia to France Hasmik Tolmajian.

In his speech, the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, Arayik Harutyunyan, attached great importance to the holding of the Francophonie Games as an important event contributing to the spread of Francophone culture and values and the development of the French language, and reaffirmed the commitment of the Armenian government to organize them in the best way after the relevant decision is made.

The members of the Organizing Council addressed to the members of the Armenian delegation a number of questions concerning the works planned in various fields for the purpose of organizing the Games, to which exhaustive answers were given. A number of countries noted with satisfaction the significant efforts made in the direction of the development of the application submitted by Armenia and the existence of the prerequisites and conditions necessary for the organization of the Francophonie Games.

After the Organizing Council of the International Francophonie Games Committee draws a conclusion based on the results of the session, the decision made regarding the host country of the 10th Games of Francophonie will be officially announced during the upcoming session of the Permanent Council of Francophonie.

On December 14, the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister had a private conversation with the Administrator of the International Organization of La Francophonie, Caroline St-Hilaire.
