As of December 19, 10,629 pensions and other monetary payments have been assigned
Anna Zhamakochyan, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, and Zaruhi Manucharyan, the press secretary of the Minister, presented the progress of social support programs implemented by the Government for people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh during the briefing held at the "Humanitarian Center".
First of all, Zaruhi Manucharyan reminded that from December 11, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs accepts applications for social, labor, disability and military pensions through the www.ssa.am platform. She emphasized that this is about compatriots who were already receiving pensions in Nagorno Karabakh. The press secretary informed that as of December 19, 10,629 pensions and other monetary payments have already been assigned. Pensions will be calculated for the months of October, November and December.
Anna Zhamakochyan, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, presented details about the 40+10,000 AMD and 50,000 AMD social support programs.
The Deputy Minister presented that based on the changes initiated by the Ministry, changes will be made in the Government's decision and an amendment will be approved at the upcoming Cabinet meeting, which will make it possible to receive AMD 50,000 support by the end of January 2024. This change is made for those compatriots who have not yet received the one-time support of 100,000 AMD and have the problem of applying for the support of 50,000 AMD. "In other words, in all cases when there are certain potential beneficiaries who can apply, they will get the opportunity to apply again in the near future and this opportunity will be available until January 31," said Anna Zhamakochyan.
In cases where children's data related to the 40+10 thousand AMD social support program were not filled in, the deputy minister noted that the system now allows editing the data and adding the children's data.
As for the cases when a person left the country for some time and then returned, the deputy minister noted. "In all cases where people were absent and did not apply and returned the following month, during the next month's application, when processing the application, we will also consider the number of days of absence for the previous month and taking into account the number of days of absence, if they are less than 10 days, they will receive also the support of the previous months, i.e. the previous months starting from November."
The deputy minister also stated that the payment process for December will start next week.
Zaruhi Manucharyan once again reminded that for the appointment of pensions, it is a mandatory condition to be registered, for which one should approach the passport departments, which also work on Saturdays only to serve people who were forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh.
