Arayik Harutyunyan chairs the session of the organizing committee of the second Pan-Armenian Winter Games
Chaired by Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of the Prime Minister's Staff, chairman of the organizing committee of the second Pan-Armenian Winter Games, the first session of the committee took place.
Before discussing the agenda of the Winter Games, Arayik Harutyunyan thanked all those who were involved in the organization of the Pan-Armenian Summer Games. "I think that our society, Diaspora compatriots have seen the results we had. We should keep this pace and continue our work together. On this occasion, I would like to thank everyone for their efforts," said the Chief of the Prime Minister's Staff and expressed confidence that the Winter Games, which are planned to be held in February 2025, will be equally effective and will become a festive event for everyone.
The last Summer Games have had an unprecedented and record number of participants. 7,161 participants from 42 states and 180 cities.
Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan, Director of the National Security Service Armen Abazyan were awarded the Gold Medal for their efforts in organizing the Pan-Armenian Games. Arayik Harutyunyan presented the awards to Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan and Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, who were present at the session. Rewards of other awardees will be handed over later.
Then, the president of the Pan-Armenian Games World Committee, Ishkhan Zakaryan, presented a report on the expenses for holding the Pan-Armenian Summer Games.
Next, the participants of the session discussed the agenda of the winter games, which related to the place of the games, dates, sport types, provision of the necessary infrastructure. The participants of the session exchanged ideas on other preparatory issues.
