Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan receives the Vice President of the Europe and Central Asia Region at the World Bank

Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan received the delegation led by Antonella Bassani, Vice President of Europe and Central Asia Region at the World Bank. Rolande Pryce, World Bank regional director for the South Caucasus, and Carolin Geginat, Country Manager of the World Bank for Armenia, also participated in the meeting.

Welcoming the guests, the Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the dynamic and result-oriented cooperation formed with the WB and highlighted the WB's role in advancing Armenia's development agenda over the past few decades.

A special reference was made to the possibilities of cooperation with international financial institutions for addressing the primary needs of people forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh, as well as to ensure stable living conditions for them in the medium and long term, emphasizing the importance of holding active consultations with representatives of WB, donor and potential donor governments.

The interlocutors also exchanged ideas on current programs and cooperation issues of mutual interest.
