Armenia, Kazakhstan hold 10th session of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation
The 10th session of the Armenian-Kazakh intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation was held through video conference under the co-chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin.
Within the framework of the meeting, the deputy prime ministers of the two countries made speeches.
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan emphasized the key role of the intergovernmental commission in promoting a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, as well as identifying new promising directions.
"Our goal is to make Armenian-Kazakh cooperation even more dynamic, effective and mutually beneficial for the benefit of our countries and our citizens. We plan to develop trade and economic cooperation, promote investments, ensure their protection, develop infrastructure and trade," Mher Grigoryan said during the session.
Referring to the importance of the development of transport and logistics infrastructures, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan noted the role of the major infrastructure project "Crossroads of Peace" for the region, which involves the creation and modernization of a number of transport communications.
From the point of view of the development of Armenian-Kazakh relations, the sides emphasized the importance of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to Armenia scheduled for the near future.
