The Government approves the support program for the operators providing the slaughterhouse service
The regular Cabinet meeting took place today, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan.
The Government approved the support program for the operators providing the slaughterhouse service. As a result of the adoption of the decision, slaughterhouse slaughter will be promoted, slaughterhouses will be established as logistics centers, equal competitive conditions will be created for slaughterhouses paying turnover and value added tax, the volume of meat sales by slaughterhouses will increase, and the process of supplying quality and safe cattle meat to the population will be improved.
By the decision of the government, changes and additions were made in the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia of February 28, 2019 "On approving the interest rate subsidy program for loans provided for the purpose of procurement (purchases) of agricultural raw materials" N 201-L. As a result of the adoption of the decision, in the case of an insufficient level of collateral to attract additional credit funds, the entrepreneurs carrying out grape procurement within the Program will be provided with budgetary guarantees and will be given the opportunity to attract additional credit funds in order to ensure the process of grape procurement for the given year.
The Government made a decision to establish a closed joint-stock company for the purpose of managing the project for the construction of a new nuclear power unit(s) in the Republic of Armenia. The size of the company's statutory capital is set at 200,000,000 AMD, which is divided into 20,000 common (ordinary) shares with a nominal value of 10,000 AMD each. All shares of the company belong to the Republic of Armenia.
The government approved the legislative initiative regarding the bill of the Republic of Armenia "On Amendments and Additions to the Law on the Military Industrial Complex".
The executive approved the proposal to sign the loan agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development "Project for securing the energy transition of Armenia". It is planned to conclude a loan agreement in the amount of 40 million US dollars. Within the framework of the decision, it is planned to reconstruct "Shahumyan-2" 220/110/10 kV, "Marash" 220/110/10 kV and "Yeghegnadzor" 220/110/35 kV substations.
By the decision of the government, the necessary financial resources will be allocated to ensure the continuity of providing social support to the families of the missing servicemen. The decision proposes to allocate 13,800.0 thousand AMD from the financial resources allocated to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia under the 2024 state budget of the Republic of Armenia. According to the decision, the deadline for providing social assistance in the form of a monthly cash payment until May and June 2024, inclusive, was extended until July and August 2024, inclusive. The monthly amount of social support provided to the family of a serviceman is 300,000 AMD, which is provided from the month of approving the measure, but not more than until the missing serviceman is recognized as missing by court order.
The Government made a decision proposing to make changes to the annex approved by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia on April 28, 2011. The proposed changes, in particular, the application of the electronic dev-fs.amis.am system for accepting foreign applicants' documents, will provide an opportunity to attract foreign applicants to the Armenian educational institutions, expand the geography, increase the number of foreign students, and provide comprehensive information about Armenia's educational institutions. As a result, the international attractiveness and reputation of the educational system of the Republic of Armenia will increase.
