Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan receives World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus


Today, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan hosted World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus Rolande Pryce. Carolin Geginat, the Country Manager of the World Bank for Armenia, was also present at the meeting.

During the meeting, the interlocutors referred to the works carried out by the Government in the direction of addressing the housing needs of people forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh and providing employment. In this context, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the initial framework of the project being jointly developed by the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank, which plans to implement reforms in the field of housing construction along with the financing of the state support program for housing security of families forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. An agreement was reached to continue cooperation in this direction in order to finalize the scope of the project in the near future.

The parties also exchanged ideas on possible cooperation in the management of irrigation and drinking water systems, current projects, as well as other priorities of bilateral cooperation.
