Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan meets with the Managing Director for Turkey and the Caucasus of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development
Today, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan met with Elisabetta Falcetti, the newly appointed Managing Director for Turkey and the Caucasus. Head of EBRD Yerevan office George Akhalkatsi was also present at the meeting.
Congratulating Regional Managing Director Elisabetta Falcetti on her appointment, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed confidence that the partnership and effective cooperation between the Bank and the Government of Armenia will continue to strengthen in the future.
Falcetti presented to the Deputy Prime Minister the main priorities defined by the 2025-2030 strategy program for Armenia. In this context, the need for sustainable infrastructure development to promote a more inclusive and competitive private sector, as well as the transition to a green economy, was been emphasized by both sides.
During the meeting, the interlocutors also touched on a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation, including the construction works of the Sisian-Qajaran road section of the North-South road corridor, as well as possible cooperation in the directions of water system and solid waste management.
