Arayik Harutyunyan participates in the redemption of the stamp themed "Silicon Mountains 2024" and a postcard and a special envelope themed "RA State Award for Global Contribution to High Technologies"
Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan participated in the ceremony of redeeming the stamp themed "Silicon Mountains 2024 International Summit" and a postcard and a special envelope with two stamps themed "State Award of the Republic of Armenia for Global Contribution to High Technologies".
The event took place within the framework of the annual international technology summit "Silicon Mountains 2024".
Prior to the redemtion ceremony, Arayik Harutyunyan welcomed the guests of the "Silicon Mountains" summit, and noted that this series of events, which has become a tradition, shows how much attention is paid to the high-tech sector and information technologies in the Republic of Armenia. ''The redemption of one of the symbols of statehood, the stamp, is one of the best indicators of this. The government and the organizers keep in constant touch to best present our achievements in this field and outline our future plans. This annual event is one of the best platforms, if not the best, to summarize our work and present our plans," said Arayik Harutyunyan.
The stamp on the theme "Silicon Mountains 2024 International Summit" was cancelled by the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry Gevorg Meliksetyan, CEO of "Haypost" Arman Abrahamyan, Executive Director of the Union of Information Communication Technologies Eduard Musayelyan, CEO of "Youcom" company Ralph Yirikyan, President of the Armenian Association of Philatelists Hovik Musayelyan.
The stamp with the nominal value of AMD 380 depicts a photo from the Silicon Mountains summit held in Armenia in 2021, as well as the logo of the Silicon Mountains summit. The stamp also has the inscription "Silicon Mountains 2024" in Armenian and English languages.
Next, the ceremony of redeeming a post card and a special envelope with two stamps on the theme "State Award of the Republic of Armenia for Global Contribution to the Field of High Technologies" took place. The winner of the 2023 State Award of the Republic of Armenia for Global Contribution to the Field of High Technologies is Narayana Murthy, the founder of Infosys, to whom the prize will be presented by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Arayik Harutyunyan welcomed Narayana Murthy to the Republic of Armenia and noted that it is a great honor to host him in our country. "With this, we demonstrate the great contribution that you have made to the technological sector," said the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister and added that together with this award, which has become traditional, the stamp is also redeemed.
The redemtion of the post card and special envelope was carried out by the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, the Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry Gevorg Meliksetyan, the winner of the State Prize of the Republic of Armenia for Global Contribution to the High-Tech Industry Narayana Murthy, acting CEO of "Haypost" Arman Abrahamyan, CEO of "Viva-Armenia" Armen Avetisyan, president of the Armenian Association of Philatelists Hovik Musayelyan.
Each stamp of the postcard has a nominal value of 400 AMD. The stamps of the postcard feature the commemorative symbol and the gold medal awarded to the winner. On the postcard there is the inscription "State Award of the Republic of Armenia for Global Contribution to the Field of High Technologies" in Armenian and English languages. The 14th laureate of the Republic of Armenia State Award for Global Contribution to High Technologies in 2023, the founder of Infosys, Narayana Murthy, is depicted on the special envelope.
