The regular meeting of the interdepartmental working group aimed at addressing water sector problems took place


Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan, the regular meeting of the interdepartmental working group aimed to develop a strategy for the water sector of the Republic of Armenia, solving the problems in the sector and developing an action plan arising from them took place. Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan, heads and representatives of other state departments were present at the meeting.

After summarizing the results of the implementation of the decisions made during the previous session, a wide range of issues related to the water sector were discussed. The participants discussed in detail the construction works of the Vedi and Kaps reservoirs, the progress of the small and medium reservoir construction project, the framework of existing cooperation with "Veolia Djur" CJSC and the main principles of organizing further work, as well as discussed other issues related to the management of the water system.

At the end of the session, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan emphasized the need to find mutually acceptable and comprehensive solutions in the process of solving the problems recorded in the water sector. In order to ensure the continuity of the works, the Deputy Prime Minister gave appropriate instructions.
