The total market value of properties and funds returned to the state in 2023-2024 exceeds $ 30 million
Today, the regular Cabinet meeting took place, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan.
The Government adopted a decision “On Consolidation of Property”, which envisages attaching the 0.5 ha plot of land in the Aghavnadzor settlement of Kotayk region to the State Property Management Committee. As noted by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Davit Khudatyan, the property was returned to the Republic of Armenia by the decision of the Anti-Corruption Court. “It is a forested area, which in 2007 was transferred from the forest fund to the category of special purpose lands intended for recreation and was subsequently alienated. After consolidation, the further use of the land plot is planned to be carried out in accordance with its real purpose.”
In response to Mher Grigoryan's question about whether there is a legally binding decision, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan informed that the Anti-Corruption Court's decision of September 4, 2023 satisfied the claim filed by the Prosecutor General's Office within the framework of the function of protecting state interests. The cadastral value of the land plot is approximately 9 million 388 thousand AMD.
Anna Vardapetyan presented the list of similar properties have been attached to State Property over the past year. Accordingly, during 2023-2024, within the framework of the Prosecutor's Office's two exclusive powers - protection of state and community interests and confiscation of property of illegal origin, the total market value of the properties and funds returned to the state exceeds 30 million USD. In particular, within the framework of the power to protect state and community interests, during 2023-2024, 8 properties were registered as ownership of the Republic of Armenia or a community. Within the framework of the power to confiscate property of illegal origin, 7 immovable and 1 movable property were transferred to the ownership of the Republic of Armenia during 2023-2024, with a total value of about 4 billion 100 million AMD, as well as about 584 million AMD.
The government approved the Employment Strategic Plan for 2025-2031. The document defines the vision for the development of the employment sector and an effective way to achieve it. The following Strategic Goals have been set within the framework of the Program: growth of non-agricultural, highly productive employment in communities including regional cities, growth of employment of 18-29 year old uneducated, unemployed youth through continuous development of skills, expansion of opportunities for their realization and increase in productivity, growth of women's employment through full and long-term realization of their potential in the labor market, as well as through development of entrepreneurship, in particular targeting middle-aged (30-40) women, etc.
The Government adopted a decision proposing, in particular, to extend the deadline for the implementation of the Targeted Productivity Promotion Program by 1 year, setting December 31, 2025. Within the framework of the program, the turnover requirement of 500 million drams and more for consulting/auditing organizations will be reduced to 400 million drams, expanding the opportunities to attract more consulting/auditing organizations. Changes are also planned in the targeted program for attracting highly qualified specialists.
