Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan met with Eric Lombard, Minister for Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty of France
The delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan met with French Minister for Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty Eric Lombard within the framework of a working visit to the Republic of France.
During the meeting, the prospects for the development of Armenia-France economic cooperation were discussed, in particular, through the inclusion of new directions of mutual trade and investments in the bilateral economic agenda, as well as through the expansion of business ties between the private sectors of the two countries.
Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan, emphasizing the successful experience of cooperation with French enterprises, emphasized the need to ensure a greater presence of French companies in Armenia, including from the perspective of attracting new knowledge and developing business culture.
Reference was made to possible new directions of cooperation, in particular, the possibility of implementing the construction of the Bargushat tunnel within the framework of the implementation of the North-South Road Corridor Investment Program with the financing of the French government and the involvement of leading French construction and engineering companies was discussed.
Eric Lombard, emphasizing the particular importance of deepening economic ties with Armenia, assured that the presented programs will continue to remain in the focus of the French government, and necessary efforts will be made towards their implementation.
The parties reached an agreement on the upcoming steps and further formats of cooperation.
