Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan receives IMF Mission Chief for Armenia
Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan today received the Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission to Armenia, Iva Petrova, who is completing her term as Mission Chief. The meeting was also attended by Alexander Tieman, who will soon assume the position of IMF Mission Chief for Armenia.
Highly appreciating the constructive and effective cooperation with the IMF in ensuring fiscal stability in recent years, Tigan Khachatryan thanked Iva Petrova for her efforts in this direction and expressed confidence that the cooperation established under Mr. Tieman’s leadership will also be continuous.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues related to the macroeconomic policy of the Republic of Armenia and recent economic developments. In the context of the measures defined by the 5th review under IMF Stand-By Arrangement, the work carried out to ensure the set targets was discussed in detail, including in the financial sector, ongoing reforms in other significant areas from the perspective of improving the investment climate, as well as maintaining economic activity.
