Earlier today RA Prime Minister A. Margaryan received the members of the 4 Armenian teams which had represented Armenia in the South Caucasian "Which? Where? When?" Intellectual Games Festival. The team of the youth branch of the Armenian Republican Party (ARP) was the winner of that famous fastival by leaving behind the world champions. Noteworthy is the fact that this has been the second victory following a similar win in 2000, for which the 6 members of the team were awarded RA Prime Minister's Message of Appreciation.
In congratulating all the 4 teams for their participation in the festival and complimenting the winners, A. Margaryan noted that, first of all, victories like this help enhance Armenia's image in the eyes of the international community and lay the basis for successful development of this sports event in Armenia. The Prime Minister pointed out to the necessity of stimulating young people's interest for this game under public sponsorship, which has been the case with the chess. He assured that both the Armenian Government and the Republican Party were prepared to continue assisting the development of intellectual games in our country.
The members of the teams thanked the Head of the Armenian Government, the ARP and its youth branch, in particular, for the care and attention given to them. It was mentioned that otherwise it would have been very hard to make such an impressive success.
In closing, Prime Minister A. Margaryan presented letters of appreciation and souvenirs to the members of the winner team.
