Today the discussions of annual reports prepared by RA ministries and government agencies have started at the Office of Republic of Armenia Prime Minister. Today reports have been submitted by the Ministry of Health Care, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Ministry of Education and Science, as well as by the head of the State Committee on Physical Culture and Sport.
Minister of Health Care Norair Davidyan reported that in the period under review the activities of his Ministry were designed along the lines outlined by the strategy of the Government and were aimed at ensuring sustained development for the system as a whole and improved health services provided to the population. The Minister noted that the year 2006 has been the starting-point for the State order to cover the quasi-totality of primary health services (outpatient care) inclusive of dentistry services provided to people above the age of 65. Out of 39.4 billion-worth overall health care budget, 1 billion drams had been spent on the acquisition of modern equipment for the sector
