Today the discussions of RA ministries 'and government agencies' 2006 annual reports have continued at the Office of Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. During the meeting, annual reports have been presented by the Ministers of Justice and Agriculture, the heads of RA State Tax Service and General Department of Civil Aviation by the Government.
In his report, Minister of Justice David Harutiunyan mentioned the importance of the 27th conference of Ministers of Justice of Council of Europe-member countries held in Yerevan, which discussed issues concerning the status and the protection of the rights of victims. The conference was attended by about 250 representatives and observers from 51 member countries. Among other achievements of the ministry had in 2006, the speaker has mentioned the submission to the National Assembly of the draft legislative package on bankruptcy as worked out by the legislative reforms working group headed by the Minister of Justice, as well as another package developed by the Justice Minister-headed judicial reforms working group and presented for National Assembly consideration. The RA law on the Office of Prosecutor General is being drafted currently. The report describes in detail the work done by all divisions of the ministry. In 2006, with constitutional harmonization purposes, several bills on legislative amendments were drafted and presented for approval by the Judicial-Legal Reforms department. To provide for the implementation of the 2nd stage of structural improvements in the system of public prosecution, the Monitoring Department has developed a legislative package on the procedure to follow in summary investigations. The service of compulsory enforcement of judicial acts has adopted the system of e-mail running in all marz offices. During the last few months of 2006 by means of electronic auctions property to the sum of AMD 145, 5 million was realized. It was also noted that as per the annual results, the performance indicator of the judicial - legal reform loan program carried out by the office of realization of the program of judicial - legal reforms has been about 158, 94% as compared to the State budget target.
