Today condolence messages continued to be received in connection with the passing away of Republic of Armenia Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan.
"We were deeply shocked by the untimely demise of venerable Andranik Margaryan, the Prime Minister of Armenia. With the passing away of the wise politician - a prominent son of the Armenian people - I have lost a true friend of mine and a sympathizer. In this hour of deep sorrow, we join the friendly people of Armenia and share in your pain," - Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Nogaideli wrote in his message.
In the message sent on behalf of the Government of the Kirghiz Republic, Prime Minister Azim Isabekov noted that "with the death of Andranik Margaryan, the people of Armenia lost a meritorious son of the native land who has made an invaluable contribution to his country's political and economic development."
"It is with a feeling of deep sorrow that we heard of the passing away of Republic of Armenia Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan," - Prime Minister of Greece Kostas Karamanlis wrote in his message of condolence. On behalf of the Government and the people of Greece, he has expressed deep sympathy to the authorities and the people of Armenia.
As a message of condolence, Mayor of Moscow Yury Luzhkov wrote in particular:
"A talented organizer and a skilful leader, Andranik Margaryan made a valuable contribution to political stability in Armenia, strengthening of economy and improvement of lives of several thousands of Armenians. He went a long way towards the furtherance and strengthening of the cooperation between Russia and Armenia, Moscow and Armenia in terms of economic and humanitarian exchanges. The memory of Andranik Margaryan will go engraved for ever in our hearts."
"With the loss of Andranik Margaryan, the Republic Armenia and the Armenian people have lost a faithful to his ideas, open-minded national statesman, whose high merits and long experience might have served Armenia and its people for many years ahead. In addition to several other priorities, Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan had a strong belief in the prospects of a comprehensive development of bilateral relationship between Armenia and Lebanon. The untimely loss of the Prime Minister is an immense pain to all of us," - Lebanese MP, Dr Yeghik Jeredjian wrote in his message of condolence.
Condolence messages have likewise been received from the Staff of CIS Economic Court, the Legal Persons Union of "Associated Fellow Countrymen," the top management of Tekeyan Cultural Center, the musicians of the State quartet after Komitas, the Armenian Assembly of America, the Armenian Culture Development Foundation of Moscow, the governing council of Armenia-2020 project, the American University of Armenia, the Union of Armenian Journalists, several other international institutions, organizations, individuals.
