Today RA Prime Minister A. Margaryan has received Anatoly Dryukov, the out-going Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Armenia.
Highly appreciative of the ambassador's 7-year long activities in Armenia, which went a long way towards strengthening and furthering the cooperation between our two countries, the Prime Minister expressed the hope that Mr. Dryukov's successor would build on the achievements had over the past few years. For his part, Mr. Dryukov thanked the Armenian government and the Prime Minister for the support received during his tenure of office in Armenia.
During the meeting, the parties pointed out to the considerable amount of work performed to expand economic and commercial ties between Armenia and Russia, establish direct relationship between different administrative units in the two countries, set up joint ventures, provide for the inflow of the Russian business interests into Armenia and so on, which contributed to the betterment of the overall investment environment and the appropriate legal framework in Armenia. Notwithstanding, both sides have indicated that numerous opportunities still were going unavailed, which called for immediate action. Mr. A. Margaryan stressed, in particular, the need in speedy re-commissioning of such enterprises as handed over to Russia under the Property for Debt program.
