RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan received outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Armenia Jo Zuelian.
On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the Prime Minister thanked the Ambassador for the contribution he made to the development of the Armenian-Chinese relationship during his tenure of office. Serzh Sargsyan assured him of Armenia's willingness to continue and build on the bilateral cooperation. He stressed that considerable efforts had been made on either side over the past few years to build a solid framework for the development of the existing ties of friendship and partnership.
Ambassador Jo Zuelian expressed gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Armenia for the attention and support received during his mission in Armenia. He said that the Armenian-Chinese relations were developing steadily and dynamically largely owing to those goal-oriented efforts made by the Armenian government, in particular.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed on either side of the outcomes of the 5th session of the Armenian-Chinese intergovernmental commission, held a few days ago, which summed up the work done so far and discussed the possibilities for the promotion of economic and humanitarian exchanges between the two countries.
In conclusion, Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan wished the Ambassador every success in his future activities.
