"Dear Mikhail Yefimovich!
I cordially congratulate you on the 62nd anniversary of the victory won in the Great Patriotic War.
This truly popular holiday is celebrated with due honors both in Armenia and Russia. The Great Victory the role and significance of which cannot be over-estimated, was possible owing to the joint struggle of our fathers and the grandfathers who used to combat a common enemy in defense of their native land and were able donate peace to future generations.
On this remarkable day, I am extending to you, to the veterans of war and the whole people of Russia my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for happiness, robust health and peaceful skies."
The message, signed by Head of Russian Federation Government Mikhail Fradkov, reads as follows:
"Dear Serzh Azatovich,
Please accept my sincere congratulations on our common holiday - 62nd anniversary of the Victory won in the Great Patriotic War.
The services of war provided by our veterans on the battlefields of this bloody war and the achievements of the workers of home front liberated the peoples of Europe and the whole world from enslavement, guaranteed their right to peaceful life. This must be remembered by grateful mankind.
I am convinced that the traditionally friendly Russian - Armenian relationship, the annals of which contain many glorious chapters, will go strengthening to provide prosperity for our two countries, as well as security and stability in Caucasus.
I wish robust health, a long life and every success to all Great Victory Veterans of Armenia and to you personally."
